Who we are
Green Reliable Software Budapest is a community initiative supported by Data Immigrant Kft. We run meetups, student sessions, learning resources, partner activities, and public-interest community programming around green software, responsible engineering, and sustainable technology.
What personal information we may collect

We collect information when you sign up to the mailing list, RSVP through external event platforms, submit forms, email us, support the community through Stripe payment links, or otherwise interact with our community resources.

- To send event updates, Knowledge Hub materials, recaps, slides, recordings, and learning resources.
- To manage event communication and community follow-up.
- To invite people to student sessions, build labs, mentoring, partner opportunities, and future community activities.
- To process supporter or sponsorship contributions.
- To improve our programming and understand community needs.
- To keep basic administrative and accounting records.
Lawful basis
Where GDPR applies, we use personal information based on consent, legitimate interests, contractual necessity, or legal obligations. For example, mailing list messages are based on consent; event and community administration may rely on legitimate interests; payment and invoice records may be needed for contractual or legal reasons.
Third-party services
We use third-party services to operate the community, including Meetup for RSVPs, Mailchimp or similar tools for mailing lists and forms, Stripe for payment processing, YouTube for recordings, GitHub for open-source resources, and static website hosting providers such as Netlify. These services may process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
Payments
Support tiers are processed through Stripe-hosted payment links. We do not store full payment card information on this website. Stripe processes payment details directly on its own checkout pages.
How long we keep information
We keep mailing list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Event records, supporter records, and administrative records may be kept for a reasonable period for community reporting, accounting, and legal compliance.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information. You may withdraw mailing list consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
Security
We aim to use reputable third-party platforms and reasonable administrative practices to protect community information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our community tools, events, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
